Title: Cisco Network Engineer

Location: Harrisburg, PA

Duration: 5 Months



The CISCO Product Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the LAN
and WAN operational infrastructure while working in a team of IT
Administrators. Such responsibilities will include: System upgrades, system
documentation, daily administration and problem resolution. S/he will
participate in the design and planning of the network infrastructure to
support new applications and technologies and thereafter play a key role in
the maintenance of such tools.



Essential Administration Functions:

•              Network router and switch configuration changes, IOS
updates, and troubleshooting.

•              Virtual Private Network (VPN) site-to-site configuration and
operation.

•              Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) configuration and
operation.

•              Active Directory authentication techniques including
Kerberos and NTLM.

•              TCP/IP routing services including but not limited to
Firewalls, switches, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft Active Directory, Internet
Information Services, e-mail, and Anti-Spam devices.

•              LAN, WAN, and WLAN connectivity at all installations.

•              Use SSL Certificates to secure network communications.

•              Site Implementations, configuration, and installation of
equipment, software & services using project management methodologies.



Additional Duties:

•              S/he is responsible for network backup integrity and
recovery coordination along with disaster preparedness planning.

•              Must create and update documentation of network systems,
operational procedures, and network topology and hardware inventory.

•              Responsible for the management, operation, and
administration of Cisco Network PRIME Infrastructure; Cisco 5500 Series
Wireless Controller; and Cisco 3600 Wireless Access Points.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

•              Minimum 4 years Cisco networking Installation,
administration, and configuration setups.

•              Cisco Certification The candidate must have a Cisco
Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) or higher (CCNP & CCIE)

•              Excellent understanding and ability to use Cisco IOS
software, version 12 and higher, command language; and Cisco Catalyst LAN
and WLAN technologies.

•              Strong working experience with Dell Enterprise servers and
Cisco networking.

•              Project management skills including ability to organize time
and work on multiple tasks and follow through to completion of task or
project.

•              Fluent in the use of Microsoft Project and Visio software.

•              Ability to create and write clear, complete documentation of
systems and procedures.

•              Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including
high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.

•              Self-motivated and able to work independently or with a team.
