*Under guidance of the Section Chief of the KIDS Application Development
Section, this position performs advanced DB architecture work for the KIDS
system. The KIDS DB architect: recommends and maintains data management
policy; provides expert technical leadership to the applications
development and technical staff; installs and maintains software on
multiple mainframe platforms; plans, tests installs and updates software;
and advises application development staff on the use of database software,
database designs and datamodels, and is available for evening/weekend
oncall duties.
Well qualified candidates will have DBA experience with a large (1000+
programs, 400+table, 4+DB2/CICS environments or equivalent) Child Support
system, or equivalent, using Platinum, ERWin, Omegamon, ChangeMan. CNTL-M
or like tools; and significant IT related knowledge. *
