The responsibilities include: Ø Design of data models based on business requirements for OLTP applications, Data warehouse and reporting applications Ø Reverse Engineer source system structures for model sourcing/landing Ø Create Conceptual/Logical/Physical models for staging, reporting and data integration Ø Drive model management and version control of all data models Ø Facilitate creation/migration of data objects (DDL) across Development /QA/Production Ø Drive metadata capture through data modeling application Ø Document the data model Ø Assist the development team in understanding the model and make enhancements as needed to support the application functionality Ø Assist UI, batch, reports and interface development teams with database field mapping Ø Assist conversion team with source database to target database mapping and conversion efforts Ø Develop tools to expedite the data modeling tasks and data mapping tasks – like generation of data model objects, schemas and user grants Required Skills: Ø *5+ years of experience working as an enterprise data architect building enterprise data models for OLTP applications or data warehouse applications from ground up.* Ø *5+ years of experience using data modeling tools such as ERWIN or ER Studio, or Rational Data Architect supporting large IT dev projects* Ø *5+ years working as an IT consultant, business/technical analyst, DBA or BI data modeler* Ø *An in-depth understanding of the Data Life Cycle data modeling concept and principles* Ø *Must have an in-depth understanding of dimensional modeling concepts* Ø *Experience with storing metadata/data dictionaries within formal modeling tool* Ø *Must have in-depth experience in Oracle RDBMS platform and performance considerations* Ø Must have in-depth experience in modeling complex data hierarchies, and partitioning into multiple schemas and table spaces for optimal performance and easier maintenance Ø *Exposure to Master Data Management solutions* Ø *Experience in the Health care Insurance industry* Ø Strong Business acumen highly desirable Ø Must be able to work independently or as part of a team to develop the required solution Ø Excellent written and verbal communications skills will be required for customer and team interaction Ø Experience in working with large enterprise systems and agile teams.
