*SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER – HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT, *



SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER is responsible for establishing and leading
enterprise-wide, cross-functional strategic initiatives. SENIOR PROJECT
MANAGER leads a variety of different types of projects including launching
new products and services, large-scale application development, systems
integration, BPO arrangements, operational efficiency improvements, process
reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades and deployments.



*Senior Project Manager Responsibilities*:

·         Single accountable party for defining, planning, orchestrating,
and delivering a given strategic initiative

·         Directs large-scale, complex projects often involving multiple
internal and external constituents and matrix partners

·         Accountable for one or more initiatives including business,
operational, and IT deliverables

·         Defines and tracks project milestones while developing,
maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan

·         Develops the project charter, integrated project plan, resource
plan, contingency plan, and related project management artifacts

·         Directly manages all aspects of the project life cycle and works
with matrix IT partners to oversee all SDLC phases of a project

·         Rigorously manages scope to ensure commitments are achieved
within agreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters

·         Validates financial forecasts and provides on-going
reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures

·         Develops communication plans and interfaces to execute on
responsibilities

·         Serves as a Subject Matter Expert in routinely briefing key
stakeholders on different aspects of assigned initiatives

·         Represents the project in various project governance and
inter-department forums

·         Publishes periodic project status reports

·         Chairs weekly Core Team and monthly Operating Committee meetings
to review progress with key constituents

·         Ensures end results are of the highest caliber with a clearly
articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit.

·         Proposes recommendations and adjustments to project delivery and
related solutions throughout the life of the initiative

Work within a team of strong willed and opinionated stakeholders across
business and technical domains to identify the optimal solution scope,
requirements and business process, architecture and design and delivery
approach and implementation plan



*Senior Project Manager Qualifications*

·         Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key
stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach;
resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited
information and ambiguity

·         Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectively

·         Solid influencing skills

·         Sound business and technical acumen

·         Experience with stakeholder management

·         Focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under
pressure

·         Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision
both written and verbally

·         Strong presentation skills

·         Ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete their
objectives

·         Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering
complex projects

·         Exemplary core project management skills including multiple
aspects of the PMBOK

·         Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project
management and SDLC methodologies and tools

·         Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills



 *Additional Role Specific Qualifications*

·         Master’s degree in Business or Healthcare with equivalent
experience

·         7 to 10 years of progressive experience with the last 3 leading
large scale multi-million dollar programs or projects.

·         Candidates with 3-7 years of consulting experience with large
national firms will be strongly considered.

·         Experience communicating with business and technology executives
and tailoring both written and verbal communications as needed

·         Must have solid writing and grammar skills

·         Healthcare experience is a plus but is not required. Candidates
with any experience with healthcare claims processing, clinical coding
(ICD, CPT etc.), eligibility and member management, healthcare provider
contracting and relationship management or other specific experience will
be strongly considered

·         Master Data Management skills, experience and/or training are
strong plus

·         Diverse generalist backgrounds and skills are a very strong plus.
Candidates with any combination of systems or business analysis,
architecture or design, software coding, testing or quality assurance,
project management, network and systems administration, and people
management will receive top consideration

·         All candidates must be comfortable being thought leaders on one
or more initiatives

·         All candidates must be comfortable entering a program mid-stream
and assuming delivery responsibilities within a reasonable period of time

·         All candidates must be comfortable with being hands-on throughout
various aspects of the projects they are managing.
