Role : Network Security Engineer Location: NYC, NY. Duration: 12 Months. Rate: Best. Must Have: · Checkpoint, Juniper, Sidewinders, Crossbeam (any two firewall at least), Essential Functions/Responsibilities: · Handle Network Security Operations team · Final escalation point to resolve technical issues · Firewall rule audits and compliance checking · Network Security designing and configuration of network devices · Resolving On-Call issues · Assign, track and direct engineers to complete their tasks on time · Own cross-stream technical dependencies across project · Suggest Performance monitoring improvements (Monitoring CPU usage, Memory etc.) · Handle changes as per prescribed change management process · Vendor Management · Working with Third Party vendors to resolve product or link issues · Remote Installation and Configuring of network devices · Working on Clustered & Load Balanced environments · Working on different network products from different vendors Primary Skills: · 9 plus years of experience in Network Administration · Hands on Expertise troubleshooting and managing internetworking devices including Firewall, IDS/IPS, Proxy Servers, DNS servers, Content switches, Load Balancers, Routers, Switches and their components · Strong Hands on networking experience with VPN technologies · Strong knowledge of DMZ network · Good knowledge on the Service provider networks and terminologies · Extremely Good Analytical Skills · Strong Networking Troubleshooting skills · Strong Communication and documentation skills · Strong Knowledge of ITIL framework. · Experience in Information Security practices and good understanding of TCP/IP concepts, threats and related vulnerabilities · Knowledge of Anti-virus management, vulnerability scanning Desired: · Project Management Skills desired. · Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects in an efficient manner · Proficient in planning and designing DMZ network environment · Commitment to quality results · Experience in Monitoring tools · Knowledge of Security Information Event management tools · Firewall rule audit tools · Ability to work in a professional manner, be flexible, and handle interactions with all levels of the organization and with external clients. · Self-directed, organized and motivated.
