Role: SCCM Engineer
Total experience: 5+ Years
Work Location: Stow, MA
Duration: 3 months 8 weeks
Assignment start date: Immediate
 
Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills
 
 
 
Senior Desktop and SCCM Engineer. Candidate will have 5+ years expertise in the packaging of and distribution of packaged applications to desktop environment using Microsoft's SMS application distribution model. Candidate must be able to engineer, manage and maintain a SCCM/SMS infrastructure with over 8000+ nodes.
Six or more years of experience required providing technical support and technology implementation pertaining to Desktop Operating Systems and hardware.
 
Experience (3+ years) with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) and SCCM OSD.
Deep technical understanding of Microsoft Windows 7 & 8 core/reference image development.
Extensive experience (5+ years) supporting SCCM/SMS infrastructure and Report Management.
Active Directory and Group Policy Management. Familiarity with AGPM.
Strong scripting background – _vbscript_, Batch, PowerShell (3+ years).
Some SQL Query Development (related to SMS database).
Overall understanding of networking.
Overall understanding of Microsoft systems administration.
Desktop security management and forensic investigation.
Some Software packaging and re-packaging experience.
Command of common Windows and MS office tools (e.g. Windows 7, Windows 8, Microsoft Office Suites 2010, 365 & 2013).
Strong technical writing skills with proven experience in documenting System standards.
Strong implementation and Desktop integration background.
 
Applications: Windows 7 and 8, Active Directory, SCCM/SMS, USMT, WSUS patch management, Desktop virtualization technologies, Sophos, SQL, services, WINS, DNS, DHCP, Exchange Email, Juniper Networks Junos Pulse, MS Direct Access,  PowerShell, VBS scripting.
 
Networking: TCP/IP, Ethernet, Fiber, VPN, Wireless networking.
 
Hardware: Dell, Lenovo, Cisco UCS
