Technical/Functional Skills:
5+ years Microsoft Project Server administration experience
An experienced professional is needed with Microsoft Project Server and Microsoft Project Pro (preferably 2013); 2010 or 2012 is also acceptable. 
 
Proficient in use and application of:
  • Microsoft Project Professional
  • Microsoft SharePoint
  • Microsoft Workflow
  • SharePoint Designer
Good understanding of project lifecycle methodologies including Waterfall and Agile
Experience in using Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools for planning and reporting
Proactive in recognizing, proposing, and implementing quality process improvements for the Technology organization suitable to current maturity level of the organization
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Proven analytical and problem solving skills to support the PMO and project governance processes.
Proven ability to facilitate discussions and negotiate and build consensus across the organization
Committed to quality and correctness
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with the product and technical teams
Inquisitive with self-sufficient research skills; good attention to detail; creative, out-of-the-box thinker
Ability to prepare and deliver technical and functional presentations to Senior Management, product teams, customers and others.
Ability to learn and apply new methods/skills/technology to improve existing processes.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Master’s degree a plus
PMP certification or other process certifications a plus
 
Roles & Responsibilities
  • This role will be responsible for,
  • The position is to operate, support and improve the PPM tool, (I.E. Microsoft Project Server 2013).
  • Success is achieved when the tool is implemented in such a way that it will support any process changes made to the Portfolio Management and Business Management processes
  • Role is integrally involved in the development and support of the PPM application.
  • Provides expertise in the functionality of the PPM application to meet the requirements. Work with the PPM Team in system specifications, then plan, design, develop and implement the new process.
  • Focus on the PPM tools out of the box functionality to meet the business requirements. However this may require configuration enhancements, customized external tool interfaces, extensions of functions and features.
  • Implementation of the PPM tool to provide and maintain centralized authoritative reporting source of project health status.
  • Develop and implement ongoing reporting of project portfolio performance
  • Support the direction and standards for consistent portfolio and project management tool utilization.
  • Continual improvement of existing PPM functionality to determine best utilization of what is available, what might be needed and how best to implement the appropriate solutions and ensure they are leveraged by the organization working with the PPM Team.
  • Provide the end user support of the PPM System (Globally) to 1500+ users
  • Day to Day on support calls and emails
  • Prioritize calls and support issues
  • Trouble shoots calls to determine if it is user error or system error.
  • Lead and assist in analysis and troubleshooting of operational problems and other issues
