*Interview mode: Phone **than F2F* *Job Description: *Desktop (VDI) Engineer - Minimum 3 years' experience using VMware vSphere REQUIRED: *Key Responsibilities:* The position will be responsible to ensure that the objectives of the Desktop and Collaboration Engineering team are met: Strong VMware core technology skills, including experience with VMware v5.x, vCenter, Desktop Virtualization (VMware Horizon/View/Workspace), Application Virtualization (ThinApp) 1.Engineering/Architecture Experience in areas of: a.VMware Horizon View 5X b.VMware vSphere 5x c.VMware vCenter 5x 2.2. Experience with the following Technologies: a.Application Virtualization (ThinApp, XenApp, App-V) b.Profile Management (Appsense) c.System Center Configuration Manager d.Microsoft Active Directory , GPO, DNS, and DHCP services. e.Desktop Operating Systems, specifically Win7 and Win8. f.Storage Experience (NetApp, EMC) 3.Experience in deploying and supporting enterprise level Virtual Desktop Infrastructure solution for more than 3,000 users 4.Mentor, support and guide the systems administration staff in day-to-day virtual systems operations. 5.Gather end-user environment information to guide desktop and application virtualization efforts 6.Efficiently troubleshoot and problem solve all technical issues relevant to supporting VMWare View 5X 7.Experience in VMWare Security Server and F5. 8.Serve as second or third level support resource for desktop platforms, Troubleshoot technical incidents with those environments 9.Collaborative responsibilities: a. Coordination with Delivery Services for the design, build and production readiness of infrastructure solutions and the development of valid business cases b. Coordination with Technical Services service lines to ensure implementation of best practices for infrastructure governance, architecture, engineering, production support and service Management 10.Additional responsibilities: a. Ensures consistent delivery of superior technical solutions b.
