Job Title:-Senior Storage and Backup Administrator Location/Division: Itasca, IL Duration:-6+ Month Contract The Senior Storage and Backup Administrator's role is to ensure that the application and the technology are available at all times.This role will be accountable for storage and backup services such as assessments of new planning products and methods. Participate in the development of appropriate support methodologies and maintenance procedures. Participate in the development of processes and procedures for all enterprise class distributed technology. The ability to effectively communicate with Team members, peers, vendors, and customers verbally and in written form is critical. Job Requirements- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information sciences, or related field and/or 6 years equivalent work experience. Minimum of 4 years storage and backup technology knowledge is preferred. Must a deep understanding of backup architectures related to Symantec's NetBackup 7.x running on a Linux platform. Strong knowledge of Linux, Red hat certification will be big plus Strong knowledge of NetApp Storage environment. Ability to work with NetApp arrays, Strong knowledge of EMC DataDomain product Familiarity with storage virtualization products, including NetAPP Virtualization engine and SAN Volume Controller. Must have experience with large databases, LAN-free backup solutions, disk-SAN-backupimplementations Work Traits: Strong written and verbal communication skills Able to work with internal and external customers. Able to work in a team environment. Emphasis on sharing of knowledge through good communications and written documentation Strong inter-personal skills Positive customer service attitude Focused on quality Strong attention to detail.
