Experience

Can the candidate show a track record of at least 3 years PM work on at
least medium size (50 - 100k projects).
Experience should be evident on resume. If not, ask about the size of the
projects with questions like...What was your biggest project in terms of
staff and budget? What was your largest budget?
Should be familiar with all the PM tools (project charter, budget, change
control process, project schedule, risk/issue log), how to apply them and
when they should be used.

Should be familiar with various system development methodologies.

*Leadership*
Shows overall responsibility for project outcomes. Knows how to motivate
the project team.

*Problem Solving*
Knows how to set a path to solving problems
*Action Oriented*

Has a view of the overall project progress and does not get distracted by
minor issues. Finds ways to work around problems in order to keep the
project moving.
*Need to get questionnaire from consultant*


   1. What PM tools would you use to start a project?
   2. Which of the project artifacts do you consider most important?
   3. How do you deal with project change? What tools are used? What is the
   approval process?
   4. How do you keep track of how much time someone spends on a project

   7. Be able to communicate to all level of management, customers, project
   team members and stakeholders.
   8. Have you had any failed projects?
   9. Describe your most successful project.
   10. How do you motivate project team members?
   11. What have you found to be the best way to communicate with

                                                Off shore developers
12.What is the best way to deliver bad news to your customer and management?
13.QA testing has found that your application is running very slow. What
