Title: QA Automation Tester posted on 2014-04-07 12:48:31 Job Description:Position: QA Automation Location: Houston TX. Visa: Only GC, EAD and Citizens Duration: 1+ year Rate: DOE Position Overview Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to: - Writes and maintain test design which validate the acceptance criteria of features - Assists in managing bugs through the bug/triage process - Obtain, modify, and maintain data required for testing - Support activities such as patches and Tier III support - Creation of Test Plans as it relates to Feature Functionality Implementation - Creation of Test Cases with clear test objectives using Action Based Tests - Follow and contribute to Agile/SCRUM activities (e.g. daily stand-ups, retrospectives, iteration planning, estimating/reporting, acceptance criteria definition, etc.) - Collaborate with other scrum team members to understand requirements and technical implications - Identify, document, and reproduce defects in software and systems - Works closely with Product Specialists/End-Users to understand the Application and how it is used. - Works closely with an automation testing team in identifying candidates for automation - Working closely with an automation team in certifying automation scripts - Execute automation tests for the purpose of supporting regression testing activities - Participate in identifying environmental needs for the testing team and the initial set-up of the environments - Work with Global teams offshore and outsourced - Experience with identifying environment needed and set-up the initial environment set-up Job Requirements: Requirements and Qualifications: Technical skills needed: - 5+ years in a Multi-tier Window Client/Server environment (must provide examples of designing testing scenarios related to their environment) - 5+ years experience in test plan and manual test case design, creation, bug tracking - Must be able to perform backend database validation using SQL test scripts (could be in SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.) - Must be able to describe the web services (SOAP, REST) they have designed and tested where the UI was not readily available - Must speak to which tools (Wireshark, Fiddler, etc.) they used independently Non-technical skills needed: - Stable work history - Ability to pass background check - Self-motivated and capable of independent work with minimal direction. - Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Preferred Skills/Abilities - UNIX or Linux testing experience - Experience in an Agile/SCRUM environment *Click here to view full job description and apply <http://www.ejobsville.com/display-job/145844> (Registration not mandatory to apply for this job)* ------------------------------ Best regards, eJobsVille.com - For The Best Tech Jobs In Town -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Open Source Erp & Crm" group.
