Report directly to the Director, Application Architecture. The work will be in support of strategic sourcing, procurement & real estate systems and their related projects. Solutions Architect will assess the end to end technology capabilities of the sourcing, procurement and real estate organizations to enable the business strategy, balancing the constraints of program budgets with an effective phased implementation approach. · Will operate in a highly collaborative work environment, and will drive the establishment, design and documentation of application architecture. Past experience with Ariba and PeopleSoft Financials technologies as well as various integration patterns. · Will be responsible for solution designs on assigned architecturally significant projects and will help set and enforce architectural standards, direction, recommendations and governance for applications within the Line of Business portfolio. · Will collaborate with business, IT and architecture leadership as well as vendors to capture functional and technical requirements and apply the appropriate technology solutions in alignment with company standards. · Requires strong knowledge of architecture techniques including experience with modern system development technologies, a working understanding of technical infrastructure, application architecture and solution design. *Responsibilities* · Provide architectural and technical leadership for the harvesting of existing and the implementation of new solution architecture capabilities via assigned projects · Ensure technical nonfunctional requirements including security, performance, scalability, and reliability get addressed in addition to business functional requirements · Ensure consistency and adherence to architecture roadmaps, blueprints, standards, and best practices across the enterprise by actively participating in application delivery across SDLC phases · Establish solutions for technical problems and recommend design changes to ensure successful implementation · Mentor development teams on proper use and implementation of patterns and frameworks · Assess new technologies to determine suitability and alignment with enterprise technology standards · Ability to balance multiple competing priorities and to orchestrate loosely correlated issues into manageable problem set. · Own the overall application/solution architecture and associated trade-off decisions throughout the life cycle of application releases · Assist in application transformation, seeking to consolidate technically similar applications to standardized technology platforms. *Qualifications* · 10 years of IT/technology experience including defining and implementing modern solution design *REQUIRED* · Large scale financial systems and procurement systems experience *REQUIRED* · *Understanding of Ariba, PeopleSoft Financials and/or IWMS systems REQUIRED* · Knowledge of Commercial Property and Casualty experience a plus · Strong experience with various integration patterns is a must including integration with cloud and on premises based solutions. · Strong process orientation, analysis and critical thinking skills · Demonstrated track record of project execution and delivery; Dynamic leadership ability to develop and energize cross-functional multidiscipline, high-performance work · Excellent written and verbal communications; Demonstrated ability to influence people at a variety of levels, internally and externally -- Regards *Mayank Sharma* Technical Recruiter Sage Group Consulting Inc.
