*1. BW Developer Description* The BW developer will be responsible for requirements gathering, analysis, design, and development of SAP BW backend components for our Federal Compliance LAA-FA Reporting Project. In addition to the technical responsibilities, this individual will be responsible for working directly with our end user community to provide ongoing support and will work closely with project leaders and the business teams to design, develop, and support SAP BW solutions that meet business requirements.
• Analyze and configure BW/BI 7.3 data environment to facilitate custom reporting and data analytics solutions • Build and enhance BI objects such as InfoObjects, InfoCubes, InfoSources/Data Sources, Master Data, Transfer Rules and Transformations, Update Rules, ODS, Extractors, Infosets, Aggregates, Process Chains, User Exits • Interact with business to gather requirements, prioritize work, develop enhancements to the existing system, coordinate testing, and perform change management/training for BW reporting and applications • Monitor BI loads, communicate and troubleshoot issues with data integrity, data design, and functional and technical software issues • Design complex, custom BW solutions or component objects translating complex requirements into an optimal BW design • Perform routine program modifications, performance tuning, problem solving, debugging, and unit testing • Support the on boarding and training of BW Power Users. This includes providing technical training of key BW toolsets such as BEx Analyzer, Query Designer, Web App Designer, Web Intelligence, BO Explorer, BO MS Analysis for Office. *Minimum Qualifications* • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field • Minimum 5-7 years of technical experience with SAP BW/BI (incl. exposure to 7.0 or higher) • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the following: 3.X, 7.0 Data Modeling and Business Explorer Suite front end tools • Extensive knowledge of configuration of BW data objects including InfoObjects, InfoSources, Transformations, ODS, Cubes, Info Providers, and multi providers • A proven track record for executing complex BW data warehouse architecture • Comprehensive knowledge of BI extractors from the ECC system and working knowledge of SAP structures, object dependencies and tables in version ECC 6.0 environment • Extensively worked on extractors for following functional areas: SD, FI/CO, PM, PP, MM, QM, PM, Project Systems • Extensive experience in reconciling ECC data with BW data; Experience using SAP Data Services ETL tool is a plus • Knowledge of ABAP and SAP query development a plus • Experience working with Analysis Authorizations • Mobile Analytics and Dashboard development experience a plus *2. BW Front-End Developer* - Design and develop BW queries using BEx Analyzer - Design and develop BI Reports using Business Objects reporting Tools(Analysis & Dashboards) - Comprehensive front-end BEx reporting (query, workbook design) - Basic VBA experience & excellent knowledge of MS Office Excel functions - Responsible for immediate SAP production issues - Ability to work with a diverse and integrated team consisting of application developers, technical business users and business analysts - Work with business owners to define and analyze reporting and analytic requirement. - Responsible for knowledge transfer and technical implementation of SAP BW *Minimum Qualifications* - Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or equivalent is required (Technical degree preferred) - 5 to 7 years of relevant experience required including 4 to 6 years of SAP BEx Analyzer, - Experience in ABAP – understanding BADI’s in BPC and routines in BW/BI. - Knowledge of the SAP R/3 FI/CO modules is preferred - Excellent written and verbal communication skills required - Must be comfortable client interfacing - Experience in Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting process. -- Regards *Mayank Sharma* Technical Recruiter Sage Group Consulting Inc.
