Role : Business Analyst
Location : Atlanta, GA
Senior business analysis experience with personal accountability for delivering
and managing requirements to time and cost for projects typically in the range
of $500k to $1.5 million in value and 6 to 9 months in duration.
MUST HAVE:
* Role as Business Analyst for multiple full-lifecycle of enterprise
applications such as ERP, CRM / Call Center, Data
Warehouse/Analytics/Essbase/Hyperion.
* Demonstrated experience writing and reviewing business, user
functional
and non-functional/system level requirements using various industry standard
notations and techniques.
* Comfortable dealing with challenging stakeholders and opinionated
developers and architects during facilitated sessions and during the
development
lifecycle, and resolving ambiguities and developing consensus regarding
requirements.
* Adept at getting sign off for business (functional and non-functional,
as needed) requirements from user community and stakeholders.
* Experience in selecting and executing requirements gathering
techniques
such as interviews, facilitated workshops, JAD sessions, Delphi technique,
documentation study and process modeling.
* Experience in managing successful collaborative relationships with
senior customer staff.
* Experience working on multiple concurrent and competing projects while
working, potentially with different project managers and stakeholders.
* Solid understanding of the following requirements models: Stakeholder
Categories, Actor Tables, Glossary, Context Diagram, Data Model, Class Model,
Data Dictionary, Event Response Tables, State Diagrams, Business Rules,
Decision
Tables, Process Maps and Cross Functional Process Flows ("swim lanes"), Use
Cases, and Activity Diagrams.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills - must be able to
communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing
* Experience working on projects that support internal IT functions
within a large organization (e.g. Service management, Information Security,
Operations monitoring, project life cycle methodology, architecture tools).
* Experience in working on requirements to support of implementing
packaged
solutions on both a domestic and global basis.
* Experience in collecting and analyzing non- functional requirements
(i.e. technical specs, capacity needs, disaster recovery requirements, etc.)
* Experience with the service management processes.
* At least 7 years in a corporate IT environment
* At least 5 years experience in business analysis or related technical
field (application development, deployment/implementation and infrastructure)
in which requirements analysis and documentation was part of the job.
* A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent
work experience.
* National and international travel may be required (must hold valid
US passport with no travel restrictions).
* Flexibility to work off hours to collaborate with global stakeholders
as necessary
NICE TO HAVE:
* Ability to identify new tools or techniques that are not currently
in use (e.g., Mind Maps, process modeling, etc.) that have the potential to
improve on the current process and outcomes, and bringing these to the
attention
of the IT Services management team.
* Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation.
* Knowledge of / experience with ITIL v3.
