*POSITION*

*QA Manager*

*6 month contract*

*Hartford CT*

*$55/Hr*



Project Manager with ability to take medium to large projects(1 year+
duration, $1mill QA/Testing budget) and design a testing solution that
incorporates use of best practices, tools, processes and automation,
including regression & performance.

   - Provides estimates, tracks testing efforts to actuals and provides
   testing metrics that roll up into the project metrics for progress
   measures.
   - Provides to a project the most comprehensive testing solution
   afforded.
   - Uses such projects to drive innovation by way of
   developing/honing/using new techniques that will assist other projects for
   efficient delivery.
   - Extensive exposure to technology platforms and upgrade considerations
   of applications that need to be moving from those that are being sunset to
   newer industry standard platforms of choice.



*Qualifications:*

   - Bachelor’s degree & 9+ years QA experience including 5 years running
   large IT enterprise application projects. *REQUIRED*
   - Strong project management background with a significant exposure to
   testing lifecycles and its role in the SDLC with definite exposure to
   forecasting, planning and budgeting for projects. *REQUIRED*


   - Experience with insurance industry projects *REQUIRED*
   - Ability to communicate both written and orally with senior leaders,
   offshore vendor resources and business sponsors is strongly desired.
   - Methodologies Exposure/Expertise: Agile, Iterative, Waterfall



*Project Management Skills:*

   - Demonstrated and evident use of being able to apply PM'ing skills to
   the testing lifecycle of a project



*Tools: *

   - Expertise in the use of Project Management toolsets(MS
   Project/Excel(budgeting/forecasting)) and any industry standard PM tools
   - HP Quality Center exposure and preferred ability to demonstrate use of
   the tool in helping architect testing solution including preferred exposure
   to server side scripting which helps direct solutions where it's use is
   warranted or not.
   - HP QTP (nice to have) which helps direct automation solutions as
   necessary on projects on hand,
   - HP PerformanceCenter/LoadRunner (nice to have) which helps
   direct/identify volume/stress/performance testing solutions for project on
   hand which have been utilized on projects for scheduling, tracking,
   measuring
