Position: ETL Datastage Developer
Location: San Francisco, CA
Duration: 6+ months
F2F is required but we can push for Skype
Key Accountabilities:
* Design data integration/ETL jobs using IBM DataStage 8.x Enterprise Edition
Parallel, QualityStage and Information Services Director (ISD).
* Support, enhance, and optimize DataStage processes.
* Troubleshoot application issues including components such as DataStage,
QualityStage
or related products.
* Code using Shell, Perl & Python scripting languages.
* Provide application performance monitoring and tuning for improvements.
* Independently research, escalate, and resolve support issues.
* Ensure that the system design is aligned with the business requirements
through
appropriate documentation and requirements mapping.
Skills Summary:
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field or
equivalent
work experience.
* 2-5 years Experience with DataStage module of IBM InfoSphere Information
Server (IIS).
* Experience with IBM QualityStage and Information Services Director (ISD)
for Web Services is a plus.
* Knowledge with AIX/Linix and Unix environments.
* Strong experience in coding using SQL, Shell, Perl, Python, stored
procedures,
functions, triggers.
* Experience with Agile and Waterfall development methodology.
* Strong collaboration and teamwork skills necessary.
* Self-starter and motivated with ability to work in a fast paced Rapid
Application
Development environment.
* Ability to learn new development environments quickly.
* Articulate communication skills are a must. Being able to easily identify
and discuss with all team members any development needs or recommended
approaches
is critical.
* Experience with different flavors of RDBMS (DB2, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc).
* Demonstrate flexibility and effectively juggle priorities in a fast-paced
and challenging business environment.
