You will also contribute in high level design discussions regarding application architecture. You need to have expertise to develop applications as per business requirements within strict timelines, with proven experience in building Java applications that can support high transactional volumes, in a highly concurrent environment. You will work as part of project teams in the Initiation and Planning phases of our standard Project Management Methodology. These activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research & development within the project life-cycle; technical analysis and design; and development testing and rolling-out the solutions. You will perform all or some of the following Job description: Participate in all phases of Java development within the team Responsible for overall project quality on any new development or enhancement Review and clarify business requirements for new application development Collaborate with other functional area experts to design complete solutions Review technical solutions/designs provided by others Provide input for project timelines to team lead Provide mentoring to peers and daily guidance/management within a team environment Communicate the status of projects to Project Manager Actively participate in the design and review of proposed designs to ensure application integrity. *Skills * Passion for learning new technologies and techniques Strong background in Object Oriented design Demonstrated ability to apply design patterns to daily work and effectively communicate them Demonstrated ability to develop high quality fast to market solutions Guru level knowledge of Core Java, SQL, UML, XML, Spring, caching and Messaging technologies Experience working in large Oracle 11g database environments Experience with NoSQL and *Big Data solutions is highly desired* Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non technical people Solid planning, design and implementation skills Ability to multi-task among competing priorities Ability to work independently as well as part of a team structure Agile Development experience is required Experience with diagnostic, profiling and troubleshooting tools required 08/10/2013 MQM *PROFILE:* Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science. • 5 years in *Java Development * • Excellent experience in design and development of large scale applications. • Must be an advanced troubleshooter. • Must be a fast learner and willing to learn. • Must be available during non-business hours for meetings with onsite / offsite teams.
