*POSITION*
*Healthcare Oracle PL/SQL Developers*
*Duration: 6+ month*
*Location: either Grand Rapids, MI or Southfield, MI*
These projects all include developing new B2B Data interfaces as well as
modifying existing B2B data interfaces and operational reports. All the
projects are payer related and will require in depth Facets knowledge.
Many of the projects use Agile methodologies and are team based.
The position requirements for the Senior Facets developer and the seven new
PLSQL positions are as follows:
*Additional requirements for the seven new PLSQL positions:*
a) “*Hands-on” and “demonstrable” PLSQL proficiency. *
*b) **B2B data interface development / modification and report
generation experience.*
*c) **Agile development methodology experience.*
*Requirements for all positions:*
1. 3-5 years of “direct” and “demonstrable” FACETS development
experience (i.e. not just 3-4-5-6 years etc. working in a payer plan)
1. Development experience is focused on “extensions” to the existing
Facets instance --- so the development work could be to support any one of
the operational areas of the product-----claims, benefits, provider,
membership, enrollment, network, contracts, fee schedules etc.
2. Sybase, Oracle or MS Server are required with *Oracle being the RDBMS
of choice* (FACETS is ported to Oracle at Spectrum)
1. Resources must know more than one operational area i.e. claims,
benefits, provider, membership, enrollment, contracts, fee schedules etc.
1. Resources must have excellent communications skills and must be able
to function both as a technical developer and as an analyst i.e. be able to
converse directly with the business unit users and discuss requirements and
what is actually needed from a development perspective.
1. Resources must be self-starters both where business operations and
Facets are concerned – Spectrum will not take any time to get a resource up
to speed or train on FACETS internals like the data model, batch runs and
operational or technical aspects of the instance---- hence the 3-5 years
direct and demonstrable experience in FACETS requirement -----
*Technical:*
- Demonstrated / verifiable experience with FACETS (release 4.71 or 5.01
is preferred)
- C#.NET proficiency (Firm requirement for the Senior Facets developer)
- PLSQL proficiency in B2B scenarios (Seven new developer roles)
- Agile experience (Seven new developer roles)
- 5+ years of gathering and documenting project
requirements/specifications and experience with the System Development Life
Cycle.
- 5+ years of direct FACETS technical operations skills and demonstrated
experience
- *Payer side health care industry experience is a firm requirement.*
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience with two or more major aspects
of the FACETS data models is required.
- Understanding of the FACETS batch system and capabilities (i.e. order
of run, errors, restarts etc.).
- Experience with key word files and their structure.
- Experience with and understanding of the FACETS underlying RDBM –
systems (Oracle is preferred) at least one of (ORACLE, Sybase, MS SQL).
- Experience with and understanding of the various FACETS utilities for
performance of specific tasks (e.g. Medicare / Medicaid enrollment).
- Ability to work with FACETS core tables and update in batch mode or on
a specialty basis.
- Experience working with ancillary commercial systems and products and
understanding of how they work with the main FACETS instance (i.e. NetworX,
CareAdvance etc.).
- Experience working with ancillary “home-grown” systems and products
and understanding of how they work with the main FACETS instance (i.e.
client developed extensions etc.).
- Knowledge of how extensions can be built and used to augment a core
FACETS instance… (i.e. how data is passed into and out of the main
instance for use by extensions).
*Highly Desirable:*
- Must be familiar with and have direct configuration work in *two or
more* of the following: claims, billing, membership, contracts/fee
schedules, benefits, and knowledge of related HIPAA, X12 EDI transaction
sets is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a virtual team environment.
- Relational database experience/ Ability to write SQL queries.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).
- Proficiency with MS Project.
- Proficiency with MS Visio.
