Responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining
and repairing of network infrastructure and application components.
Performs a wide variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation and
training tasks to ensure the computer network performance meets company and
user satisfaction. A Network Engineer also provides direction, information,
and recommendations regarding network configurations and installations.

*Duties and Responsibilities:*
•               Maintain a thorough understanding of the basics behind the
Internet and its workings (DNS, Security, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Email
Routing, SPAM, etc.)
•               Configure and setup Cisco Firewalls, VPN Concentrators and
Security appliances for access to vital business applications
•               Design, setup and configure complex switching environments
•               Design, setup and configure complex wireless networking
that supports open or secured access and the ability to support voice and
video applications
•               Maintain a thorough understanding of Local Area Networking
•               Assist in the design of multi-server environments including
IP address schemes, DNS, WINS, Ether-Channel (Bonding), etc.
•               Configuring and installing client and server network
software for upgrading and maintaining network and telecommunication
systems.
•               Maintaining multi-site network operations and software
applications, operating systems and regular maintenance with both private
and public facilities
•               Managing assigned projects and program components to
deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
•               Responding to inquiries from staff, administrators, service
providers, site personnel and outside vendors and etc. to provide technical
assistance and support
•               Supervising the administration of systems and servers
related network to ensure availability of services to authorized users.
•               Troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware and
software applications, telephones and security systems to resolve
operational issues and restore services.

*Job Qualifications:*
•               CCNA certification or equivalent required (CNE or CNE/NT,
CCNA, CCNP)
•               Basic to advanced knowledge of telephony, networking,
public telephone switched network, and other I.T. disciplines, depending on
level
•               Working knowledge of network hardware, protocols and
internet standards, including TCP IP, MPLS, IPSEC, Cisco IOS, SSL,
•               Highly proficient in IEEE 802.11, DNS, DHCP, and WINS, BGP,
and EIRGP. Familiar with Microsoft Windows (XP to Window Server 2008)
•               Strong working knowledge of P2P tunnels and VPN solutions
including Cisco technologies and Microsoft ISA VPN
•               Experience working with load balancing technology such as
Foundry and Cisco hardware
•               Ability to lift equipment of 60lbs and work in a data
center environment.
•               Possess a good working knowledge of PC’s, lab/test
equipment, office machines
•               Demonstrated ability to use a PC/laptop; operates a
telephone test set, fluke meter, cellular telephone, cellular two way radio
telephones daily, as well as other tools as required by the various
platforms and protocols within the organization
•               High level of proficiency reading, writing and speaking
English; bi-lingual preferred
•               Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole
numbers, fractions, and decimals.
•               Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and
interpret bar graphs.
•               Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as
proportions, percentages, area.
•               Must understand and have experience with troubleshooting
analysis and techniques.
•               Strong ability to problem-solve logically and work well
with various levels of employees, engineers, senior managers and vendors
•               Very strong communication skills
•               Expert ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical
documents.
•               Demonstrated ability to write complex technical reports,
business correspondence, policy and procedure manuals and policy manuals.
•               Communication skills sufficient to speak effectively and
convincingly one-on-one and in small group situations.
•               Presentation skills sufficient to present business
recommendations to small groups.
•               Demonstrated ability to stay abreast of technology changes
and continually develop skills.
•               Advanced ability to understand and plan for the impact that
technology changes can have on the company’s business processes.
•               Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical
instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
•               Experience developing and maintaining effective working
relationships in the face of competing priorities and viewpoints.
•               3 to 5 years’ experience with project management skills;
strong organizational skills
•               Able to work effectively under tight deadlines.
