Title: Microstrategy Administrator posted on 2014-07-08 21:12:51 Job Description:3-5 years work experience in MicroStrategy design, architecture, development and administration. Expertise on Windows and UNIX, scripting (Batch, Shell, Perl etc.) Good knowledge of data/dimension modeling and concepts (star model, snow flake), Data warehousing and ETL techniques, best practices and technologies Good knowledge on VLDB Settings & Performance Tuning of reports, Flex and Flash (MSTR SDK) preferred. Hands on experience in Report development and creating interactive Dynamic Dashboards. Exposure to SDK is plusDeploying and maintaining MicroStrategy environment (installation and configuration of MicroStrategy Intelligence Server, Mobile/Web Server, Enterprise Manager, Narrowcast Server, Object Manager, Command Manager, Desktop) Installing patches and hot-fixes on the environment Identifying new changes and helping to upgrade MicroStrategy stack Monitoring and maintaining the DEV, QA and Production Environment Managing object migrations, User administration and implementing standard processes Running Integrity manager tests to ensure report and data integrity between DEV, QA and Production Creating Narrowcast services and monitoring the Narrowcast environment Setting up strategy for administering Caches, Intelligent Cubes, and History lists. Configuring Micro Strategy Mobile and Web servers Automating support and maintenance tasks (viz User Management, backups, triggering, etc.) Fine tuning the MicroStrategy project and Project Configuration settings Creating strategy for scheduling, report delivery, server idling during data loads.
