Project Manager (5-7 years experience) with the following: Job Description: The project manager will manage the projects on a team responsible for developing additional components, enhancements and resolution of production defects in the current LookAhead system, used to solve complex business problems in the Operations Technology and Real-time Systems department. The LookAhead system includes a suite of applications used by Airport Operations staff worldwide, and by the airline's System Operations Control departments to optimize flight operations, utilizing advanced algorithms and modeling techniques. Apply agile project management practices to manage multiple projects, with a combined team of between 5 and 10 developers. Responsible for the planning, directing, and coordinating activities of enterprise-level IT implementations. Requires extensive experience in project management: planning, scheduling, and controlling of project activities to meet project objectives (i.e. performance, cost, and time goals while controlling project scope). This position is integral to all development initiatives, enhancement requests and resolving production defects in LookAhead applications. The successful candidate will develop project plans, specifying goals, strategy, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources. Identifies and schedules project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks. Assigns duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to project personnel. Coordinates activities of project resources to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget, leveraging agile best practices. Works with Development Team Leads, Software Engineers, Architects, Infrastructure Engineers, and Business Analysts to develop optimal solutions for our customers. Collaborates frequently with our customers, including Airport Services and Airport Automation, System Operations Control, Corporate Security, and Operations Research/Optimization. Qualifications: BA/BS degree and/or equivalent education and experience 5+ years of project management experience (to include managing multiple long and short term projects and application of Agile/Scrum practices) 5+ years experience in tracking, planning projects, working with large data sets and making data-driven analytical decisions. Excellent analytical thinking, analysis and problem solving skills Strong team-building and leadership skills Intermediate or above level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint (including Agile/Scrum Backlog Management tools) Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities Stress management Demonstrated ability to multitask, organize and prioritize work and continue to monitor and make changes to work as the project needs dictate. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships and must possess strong interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to drive projects and be self-directed and motivated Demonstrated history in navigating cross functional/cross segment, enterprise groups and possess high tolerance to stress and the ability to handle difficult situations in a confident and diplomatic manner within a large matrix organization. Provides leadership, organization and methodology to a multi-functional matrixed project team. Prior experience with merger/acquisition work a plus.
