Title: Android Developer Location: Foster City, CA Duration: 1-2 years Interview: Phone and onsite. Candidates must be local and able to interview within 1 week of submittal. The opportunity The Android team is looking for talented engineers for the San Francisco/Foster City office to drive the evolution of the next generation Visa Checkout mobile payment solutions & Mobile Banking related solutions. You will work very closely with UX, product management, and other teams to conceive, design, and create unique payment capabilities on the mobile device. Your code will be rock solid and built to perform on multiple platforms & environments. As a key member of an elite team, you will drive the technical planning and implementation of new Android features and capabilities. We are looking for someone with serious Android Software Development skills, strong interests in all things mobile, and a passion for delivering high quality, rock-solid apps. Position Summary and Responsibilities Education/Experience o Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field (required) o 5+ years experience in Software Development using Java, Objective-C, C or C++(required) o 2+ years of Android Mobile Application Development experience. (required) Skills o Expert ability to work independently and manage one's time. (required) o Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills. (required) o Strong foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design optimized for mobile platform. (required). o Design and develop native mobile applications for Android (Apps & SDK libraries). o Passion for user experience and knowledge of Android Application Patterns as per the Android Development Guidelines. o Experience with android development tools (Android Studio, Gradle build etc) o Knowledge Android platform security practices. o Experience using RESTful APIs to integrate mobile applications to server side systems. o Solid coding practices including good design documentation, unit testing, source control (GIT, SVN etc) and peer code-reviews. o Ability and desire to learn new skills and take on new initiatives. o Proven ability to work and have fun in a team environment. Major Job Duties and Responsibilities o Develop next generation mobile payment applications; write solid code following best development practices. o Work as a part of scrum team executing the products requirements working with UX, product management and other teams in an agile manner. o Provide subject matter expertise for Android platform. o Develop android framework and UI based on best practices. o Execute POCs for visionary initiatives.
