Role : Quality Assurance Analyst
Location : Philadelphia, PA
Duration : Long term
Interview : Phone and F2F
Preference given to local candidates or those who can go in for a face to face
interview
Responsibilities:
* Provides quality assurance testing for vendor and/or proprietary business
applications (software).
* Determines range and depth of testing activities required
* Develops test plans, specifications, test cases, and schedules required for
integration , system and acceptance testing of multiple applications
* Develops all documentation related to the QA process - test plans, test
cases,
schedule, etc.
* Develops and / or defines test data needed for test execution.
* Reviews / interprets all system documentation (requirements document,
functional
specifications document, usability specifications document, etc).
* Sets up test cases into logical business scenarios for execution.
* Creates and manages the test schedule of all testing participants including
analysts and users
* Coordinates bug and issues logs with developers so all items are fully
documented
* Validates all data (database, user interface, reports, cross system
interfaces,
etc.).
* Provide weekly status and bugs counts
* Manages work assignments to keep to testing schedule.
* Provides input to overall project plan for all phases which include QA.
* Coordinate the execution of automated testing scripts.
* Interact successfully, lead and direct the work of offshore teams
Requirements:
* 7 to 10+ years experience as a "hands on" QA Analyst
* Ability to function independently with little supervision
* Ability to learn new systems and their business purpose within a short period
of time
* Excellent communication skills; both written and oral.
* Some leadership experience desired. The ability to "take the lead" in a
group of peers to accomplish the project goals would be highly desirable.
* Ability to function in a quick paced environment and be responsive to client
needs.
* 2+ years of experience leading offshore resources (assigning work, monitoring
progress, checking results).
* Must have a working knowledge of databases, including relationships and
hierarchy,
to perform queries as part of testing criteria. Analyst must also develop an
understanding of the business use of all applications.
* Strong understanding of the Quality Assurance Process Methodology.
* Bachelors Degree related to Information Technology
* Financial Services application experience preferred.
* Extensive experience with Quality Center
* Some knowledge of Quick Test Pro would be helpful.
* Some knowledge of Load Runner would be helpful.
