Position: COBOL Mainframe Developer

Location: Columbia, SC
Long term

Hourly rate: 42/hr c2c

 

This COBOL mainframe developer will be an Individual contributor role; 

Ø  5-7 years of Development experience in a COBOL/IDMS/ADO/S and VSAM 
environment 
with good communication skills. 

Ø  Need significant IDMS/ADO/S experience.  Endeavor, Expeditor also required.

Ø  ADO/S less critical - nice to have.

Ø  Participate in team of technical staff and with business leads to determine 
systems requirements and functionalities needed in large/complex development 
projects. 

Ø  Develop detailed design requirements for projects, and communicate to Team 
Lead/development team in writing or in meetings as needed. Assess detailed 
requirements against Stakeholder and Solutions Specification analysis 
requirements 


Ø  Develop/unit test online and batch mainframe code in support of application. 


Ø  Perform as needed various testing support, analysis and reporting requests 
assigned by Team Lead. 

Ø  Review coding done to advance application upgrade, extension, or other 
development. 
Analyze application for data integrity issues. 

Ø  Mentor less experienced technical staff as needed
