The position oversees the complete process from product ideation, through the various design phases, tooling and manufacturing. It focuses on the lifecycle of engineering, quality and manufacturing documents that are created and maintained throughout the whole process. Client's vision is to eliminate re-entering information in multiple systems/documents and to leverage the digital data throughout the complete value stream from concept to production. We also want to establish a continuous improvement cycle by feeding manufacturing quality data back to the front-end processes like product and tool design. *Primary Responsibilities: * • Gathering of requirements, creating and managing prototypes, gathering feedback and architecting solutions for a complete model centric enterprise are the major tasks of this position. • Process, document and data mapping of business objects in our current processes • Architecting document and data management solutions that enables us to sustain digital data from concept to production. • IT project management to implement solutions that improve the data and document management • Definition of an electronic processes on how manufacturing organizations can feedback necessary design changes through redlining the 3D models. • Definition of a closed loop data/document process that connects product and tool designers with the manufacturing data to establish a continuous improvement cycle. • Defining solutions to optimize our outside vendor collaboration in the exchange of business objects (CAD files, manufacturing information) • Frequent reporting to IT and BU management on this highly visible project *Competencies & Experience Required/Desired: * • Strong process orientation and analytical mindset. Experiences in engineering and discrete manufacturing processes will definitely be a plus. • PLM system experience, preferably in Windchill. • Experience in manufacturing execution systems will be a plus • Solid project management skills and preferably demonstrated ability to manage complex projects in this technical area and across geographical boundaries. • Excellent organization and communication skills with demonstrated business savvy to interact with management, users, contract resources, vendors, and other IT teams • Experience working in a global organization a plus.
