*Job Title ** : **System Engineer* *Location** : **Minneapolis, MN * *Duration** : **9 -12 months* to start, can be extended multiple times *Note: **Because of the nature of the work, the client requires that candidates must be US Citizens.* *Role Description:* We are seeking a *Systems Engineer *to be part of a team building and supporting a large enterprise windows and vSphere infrastructure. Duties will include building servers, migrating applications and servers. *Client* is a vibrant, global, hospitality and travel company with a strong portfolio of leading brands. Headquartered in *Minneapolis, MN* the business encompasses more than 1,070 hotels in 81 countries *Responsibilities/Relationships:* - Deliver fulfillment, incident and change management, and other tasks as assigned. - Liaison on tools and applications unique to BU. - Act as an escalation point for problem resolution. - Participate in technical architecture forums providing guidance and support to overall future state. - Have project responsibilities some of the following areas: project planning, work plan, development and solutioning and escalation from junior staff. - Provide technical assistance on projects as needed. - Coaches and mentors junior staff. - Participation in a 24/7 on call rotation. - Server O/S image management. - Patch management and deployment. - Document solutions and train junior staff to follow. *Qualifications:* - Bachelor Degree, with a technology or business emphasis, or equivalent education/experience. - 8-10 years’ experience in IT. - Advanced experience building and administering Windows Servers including Server 2012, 2008, 2003 - Advanced experience building and administering vSphere 4.1 and/or 5.1 clusters and vCenter. - Advanced experience building Windows VM guests. - Advanced troubleshooting skills. - Ability to create and troubleshoot scripts in PowerShell, batch file, or Visual Basic. - Experience with an incident or change management tool like Service Now. - Experience working in an enterprise environment. - SCCM experience a plus.
