Title: Tableau Adminstrator - Location: COLUMBIA, Maryland - Phone and In Person interview posted on 2014-09-15 16:54:17 Location: COLUMBIA, Maryland Rate: $58/hr Phone and In Person interview Job Duties & Responsibilities: Responsibilities: Performs the administration, configuration, maintenance & upgrade of Tableau Servers Perform system design and specification development, program logic and flow-charting, testing, debugging, and documentation Works independently and with supervisory review on moderate to highly complex programming tasks. Provides analysis of problems and recommends solutions. Prepares program specifications and develops coding logic flowcharts Participates in client interactions, possibly with more senior team members, to develop system solutions to business problems. Works within established procedures to develop, test, implement, and maintain application software. Recognized as a SME on a particular system, aspect or module of a system. Provide production support of the system along with other team members in rotation Experience, interest and adaptability to working in a Waterfall or Lean/Agile delivery environment. Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills. Required Skills: Basic Qualifications: Experience of 5+ years in delivering Analytic and canned reports as Developer/Lead. Experience of 3+ years in ***Tableau server administration*** Strong experience of design/development of Tableau visualization solutions Advance knowledge on Tableau BI Creation and server side configuration functionalities. Experience in installing and upgrading of Tableau server and server performance tuning for optimization. Experience with creation of users, groups, projects, workbooks and the appropriate permission sets for Tableau server logons and security checks. Advance knowledge on Tableau Report Performance Optimization Knowledge of Relational and Dimensional data modeling concepts Ability to analyze and dissect user requirements and build front-end BI applications according to specifications. Understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices. Good SQL reporting skills with the ability to create SQL views and write SQL queries.
