The Mobile Services team is responsible for building the next generation mobile e-commerce platform that will create seamless mobile e-commerce and in-store experiences for our customers. The ideal candidate should have faced and solved problems in the eCommerce domain, preferably handling 100's of millions of items in a high volume, high throughput, "burst"-type environment. We are looking for a hands-on engineer to build and maintain end-to-end solutions in a rich-client, service-oriented environment. He or she should be skilled at service-oriented architectures with experience designing distributed orchestration layers. In this role they will work closely to design new mobile-friendly APIs to drive innovative features in our mobile clients. * Minimum Qualifications* • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years’ experience building scalable e-commerce applications. *Preferred Qualifications:* * Web experience. You don't need to be an HTML expert, but you should understand the basics of HTTP, JSON, REST, sessions, writing web-scalable code, etc. * 4 or more years’ experience programming in Java. * 2 or more years’ experience with No SQL, RDBMS, ORM, Caching, ESB and Web Services. * Experience in SCRUM, Agile methodology, a plus. * Experience with Linux systems programming is a plus. * Experience in distributed/scalable systems is a plus. * Knowledge of standard tools for optimizing and testing code. * Ability to operate effectively and independently in a dynamic, fluid environment.
