It would be nice if he/she has Hadoop as well.* We are looking for a mid-senior Java developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills covering broad domain with the ability to effectively interact with technical folks from various teams to troubleshoot various issues we encounter during the integration and work towards temporary and permanent resolution. This candidate should be comfortable working in fast passed agile environment with minimal supervision. He/She must possess strong technical expertise in web development and third party integration with Java and JavaScript. He/she should be flexible to adapt to work on diverse platforms Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct application design sessions with business users and technical staff to define business requirements and business process models. Designs, codes, tests, debug and documents complex operating software applications. Introduce best practices to avoid repetition of same errors with the applications. Take ownership of the application and conduct diagnosis and correction of problems associated with applications to improve system performance and accuracy. Provide direction and support and assists in the training of less experienced software development staff to orient them and increase their understanding of more complex software development. May demonstrate software to others to introduce them to new or enhanced applications. Performs other duties as assigned or apparent. Make suggestions or offer alternative resolutions for software problems or enhancements. Desired Experience and Skills: A thorough knowledge and understanding of computer science as typically obtained through the completions of a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Must have sufficient educational background and/or experience to qualify incumbent to work at the highest technical level on all phases of software systems programming applications. Expert level technical knowledge and hands-on experience in web development using Java, JavaScript and related disciplines such as object-oriented programming, XML/Web Services. A significant understanding and knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the software programming field is required. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and department staff, as described above. Knowledge of latest web technologies is required, as is a genuine interest and passion for the web. Action oriented, willing to take initiative to follow-up on all projects and deadlines. Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple technology teams, on a multiple concurrent projects, working with business leaders, technology leaders, software engineers, system administrators and third party vendors Technologies: Java, Object oriented JavaScript, JSON, REST, Spring, GWT, Continuous integration tools, unit testing and integration testing, MVC, version Controls, familiarity with big data is preferred.
