Title: Backup & Recovery System Analyst posted on 2014-11-03 15:48:27 Job Description:*Position: Systems Analyst backup/recovery technologies* *Location: Tulsa, OK* *Duration: Full time Perm. with option of 6 months contract (if candidate not interested to work as FTE/ H1B)* *Interview: Phone and In person (Client is ready to pay expenses for In person)/ Only phone to hire for Contract duration* *Description:* The client is looking for someone well versed in backup recovery and how it works. The candidate will work with all groups in IT, gather the requirements for the app teams and document and put them in place. This person will provide technical expertise to the IT Infrastructure support team for operational technologies and tools including Windows Server, AIX Unix, Data Domain/Networker backup/recovery technologies. *Responsibilities:* 1. Works closely with Application and Infrastructure support staff to analyze technical challenges identified by the IT Operations group. 2. Works closely with all IT support teams to build requirements for backup/recovery strategies that meet the business requirements of the client. 3. Designs and implements strategies, standards and functionality to provide adequate backup/recovery of production environments including infrastructure and applications. 4. Provides technical assistance to IT support teams with planning, testing and implementing new operational tools and software. 5. Develops, implements and maintains a comprehensive testing and verification plan for recovery of protected environments. 6. Analyzes and documents the architecture and configuration of application infrastructure to ensure complete recovery of all necessary components required for normal operation. 7. Lead the support, configuration and activities for technologies where you have been designated a subject matter expert. Job Requirements: *Requirements:* 1. Strong technical skills in the design and deployment of Enterprise Backup and Recovery. Experience in backup tools as Commvault, TSM, Networker, Avamar, or VEEAM would be considered. 2. Strong leadership skills and demonstrated abilities to lead technical resources in all phases of projects. 3. Demonstrated ability to mentor influence and facilitate discussions across a wide range of teams and technologies. 4. Training and experience relative to: a. Operating systems software b. Networking c. Communications 5. Demonstrated ability to identify, research, and analyze systems software problems and perform systems evaluations. 6. Demonstrated ability to review and interpret manuals, journals, computer display screens, computer printouts, error logs, and correspondence. 7. Demonstrated ability to research, prepare, and compose systems operating procedures and documentation, reports, and correspondence. 8. Demonstrated ability to interact, advise, guide, train, and communicate effectively. 9. Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English. 10. DR experience a plus. *CERTIFICATION/LICENSING:* Applicable driver’s license. Requires travel to other company offices and facilities and to job sites. *PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:* Mobility to travel in and around office surrounding and job sites outdoors. *COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS:* Communicate and/or exchange information; conduct oral presentations. Experienced interacting with external customers and vendors relationships. *VISUAL REQUIREMENTS:* 1. Accurate depth perception. 2. Sufficient to perform job duties.
