Title: Solution Architect posted on 2014-11-14 15:53:01 Job Description *Job Title: Solution Architect* *Location: Buffalo, NY* *Duration: 6 month+* *Job Description:* The Senior Solution Architect will be responsible for providing technical solutions to a variety of enterprise wide business problems. They will also be accountable for analyzing and designing solutions to meet enterprise wide business requirements and guiding the implementation team to successful solution implementation. The ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including senior management, is essential. They will also be responsible for understanding the interdependencies of the enterprise landscape. Lead teams of solution architects, application developers and other IT resources. *II. Qualifications* A. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent in experience and education. B. Minimum of ten (10) years experience in systems support role with demonstrated results in analytics, configuring, coding, testing, problem solving and support, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge. Knowledge of health care payer business is preferred. C. Experience with methodology based development (SDLC). Waterfall and agile experience preferred. D. Ability to articulate designs to other technical staff through discussion, diagrams, and writing. E. Demonstrated experience of application design principles and application architecture. F. Ability to navigate and work on multiple development platforms such as Unix and Windows. G. Expertise with at least one development paradigm and experience with various others such as procedural languages, object oriented languages, message-oriented-middleware, and ETL tools. H. Experience in the following applications/languages is desirable: Informatica, Kalido, Oracle SQL Server, Java MQ Series, IBM Websphere, IBM Message Broker, Initiate, Siebel (Oracle CRM,DB2 I. Strong database design and SQL experience. J. Experience implementing 3rd party (vendor) systems and designing integration points to core administration systems. K. Ability to lead teams, work as part of a team or to be self-directed as required. Leads by example and serves as a mentor for other team members. L.
