*JOB DESCRIPTION:*
National Atlanta based organization is looking to add a EDI Consultant to
their team for a 6 month special project. Consultant will be a part of the
Logistics Team and the duties and responsibilities are:
• Provides estimates for mapping development efforts as an
input to project plans and cost/schedule estimates.
• Develops, modifies and Implements mappings and mapping
tables for data translation by using standard EDI tools.
• Troubleshooting to resolve EDI issues related to Customer
and/or Supplier EDI requirements.
• Establishes and maintains communications and trading partner
routings.
• Responsible for the efficient processing (monitoring and
administration) of incoming and outgoing EDI messages in the WDI
application including Customer/Supplier connections.
• Refines Functional design documents and creates technical
design and support documents.
• Creates user acceptance testing criteria and EDI application
test plans.
• Collaborates and communicates knowledge exchange/transfer
with EDI team members.
*REQUIREMENTS:*
• 3 -5 years’ experience of EDI System administration with
medium to advance mapping skills using ANSI X12 standards is required.
• A strong understanding of EDI requirements in retail
industry is highly preferred.
• Expert knowledge of WDI 8.2 translator package for Mainframe
• At least 3 years’ experience with EDI communications
standards and protocols - AS2, standard VAN-based EDI, FTP, FTPS required.
• Exposure to Mainframe environment (JCL, COBOL) required.
• Experience with dealing with trading partners thru several
phases of EDI communications.
• Experience with dealing with end business users.
• Excellent communication skills and a sense of customer
service towards our end users is a must.
• Experience with writing functional design and support
documents.
• Experience troubleshooting complex EDI communications and
transaction failures with internal IS team members and 3rd parties
• Experience with unit testing methods and assisting users
with UAT of EDI solutions
• Ability and willingness to get the job done.
• Team player at all times-voluntarily participates in
non-required tasks, assists colleagues & others.
• Ability to positively and productively influence others
while retaining good working relationships.
