Sr Directory Services Architect

*Location: LA, CA*

Architecture responsibilities include:



•    Developing technology roadmaps to fulfill current and future
requirements.

•    Developing and tuning planning methodologies to onboard new
infrastructure, software and ultimately services into the environment

•    Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to create
requirements, evaluate vendor solutions and find solutions to integrate
them into the environment

•    Developing strategies and testing in a lab environment to integrate
existing infrastructure, software and databases into a common environment.

•    Designing, reviewing and presenting solutions to other peer groups.

•    Documenting non-functional requirements, infrastructure design,
hardware, software and professional services appraisals and costs.

•    Reviewing new technologies that could reduce overall costs, create
efficiencies and provide significant value.

•    Evaluating potential cross-platform consolidation tools.

•    Researching potential automation strategies.



Technical Qualifications:



•    A degree in engineering or related field is preferred.

•    *5+ years¹ experience with Linux / Unix Directory Services (AD, LDS)
in large corporate Environment including trusts (AD and other Kerberos
implementations)*

•    Experience supporting complex directory service environments on a
global scale (Including directory site topologies)

•    Experience administering DNS and strong understanding of name services
(*Infoblox experience a plus)*

•    Experience *configuring Group Policy Objects to secure a Windows
infrastructure*

•    Experience designing and managing security in highly delegated Active
Directory environment

•    Experience defining and managing proper site topologies to ensure
proper scale and directory availability

•    Successfully guide troubleshooting of issues in a distributed system,
working with operational teams and vendors as needed to isolated and
restore service upon escalation

•    Root Cause analysis; work with other teams and staff to identify root
cause of problems and make recommendations on how to avoid repeating
problems

•    Well versed in leveraging *Windows Perfmon to track performance for
troubleshooting and scale*

•    Knowledgeable in reading packet captures to find answers or track
problems

•    Must be well versed in Active directory support tools including able
to use *LDAP tools; well-versed in LDIF/ ADSI interfaces*

•    Solid understanding *of LDAP schema* and customizations

•    Experience using Active Directory for authentication and authorization
in a mixed environment, *including *nix, OSX & mobile platforms*

•    Experience with *RBAC - Role Based Access Control*

•    Experience with nested groups

•    In addition, must have a proven track record in designing, planning
and building highly *available and scalable 24/7 directory services
infrastructures*.



Desirable Skills/Experience:



•    *MCSE or MCITP certification*

•    Experience managing a directory that meets PCI compliance requirements
is helpful

•    *Fluent in Spanish or Portuguese*



Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and be successful
working both independently and with cross-functional teams.  Must be able
to communicate both verbally and in writing to both peers and
management/decision making teams.
