*Interview mode: Phone than Skype.Job Description:*• 6 team members currently – will work most closely with the high level perimeter security team members *• Cyber security expert with large firewall implementation – specifically Palo Alto firewall* • This is a hands-on role – not just consulting on overall security measures *• Cisco or Juniper firewall hands-on experience - Cisco 6500 switches and Cisco ASR routers* *• F5 experience is great but not required* • Past positions as a Network Engineer typically • Certifications are not required but highly preferred • Phone interview followed by in-person (Skype is an option) • Phone interviews will include technical screening with SME’s • Expecting the role to be extended to 6-9 months • Python and UNIX are scripting exp needed • Weekend and after hours work will be required – will be offset by flex hours during the week (total 40 hours per week) *Job description:* The Sr. Cyber Security Specialist - Firewalls is responsible for the architecture, implementation, operation and maintenance of mission-critical next generation firewall technology. The Specialist will focus on consolidation, advanced tuning, threat monitoring and mitigation. This individual will also be a member of the Incident Response team and as such should have a background in other security domains such as Intrusion Preventions, Web Application Security. *Essential Functions* 1. Design Information Security solutions using industry standard best practices, regulatory guidelines. 2. Ensure all security solutions and designs meet local and federal compliance requirements such as HIPAA, SOX, GLBA, FFIEC and PCI DSS. 3. Develop project, implementation and test plans. 4. Research and evaluate security technologies. 5. Implementation, monitoring and tuning of numerous security technologies including Next Generation Firewalls, IPS devices, Web Application Firewalls, Vulnerability Scanners etc. 6. Assist in monitoring, investigating, documenting and resolving identified security weaknesses, and recommend documented solutions for improvement. 7. Maintain an exceptional level of documentation including diagrams, security standards, manuals and white papers. 8. Efficiently manage multiple simultaneous projects. 9. Provide accurate and timely reporting on all project deliverables. 10. Candidate will be expected to participate in an on-call rotation. 11. Ability to effectively communication both technical and non-technical users. *Required skills and abilities* 1. Networking hardware - routers, switches, load balancers, etc. 2. Next generation firewalls and application identification and tuning. Experience with Palo Alto Networks is highly desirable. 3. IPSec and SSL VPN configuration. 4. Working knowledge of packet capture and analysis. 5. Experience with F5 LTM and other components a plus. 6. Device monitoring and alerting for performance and fault management with tools such as Nagios, HP Openview, SolarWinds, or similar. 7. Intrusion Prevention Technologies. 8. Vulnerability management – Nessus, nCircle, Rapid7. 9. Forensics systems and techniques such as HBGary, EnCase, FTK, etc. 10. SIEM such as ArcSight, Q1 Labs, RSA envision or LogLogic. *Experience with one or more scripting/programming language on the list:* 1. Python (preferred) 2. Perl 3. Shell scripting 4. VBScript 5. .NET 6.
