*QA TESTER JOB DESCRIPTION:* • Client is seeking a QA Resource to assist Client user testing efforts for the RI DMV project. • The ideal candidate will be a solid performer in the testing domain and will be responsible for conducting test activities in an Agile project Scrum team. • The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and possess strong communication (both written and verbal) and leadership skills. • The candidate will need to be a team player and work collaboratively with all stakeholders on the project. • The candidate must have strong consulting and customer satisfaction skills and strive to achieve established goals, objectives, and quality standards of the project. • The candidate must adhere to established timelines and must have a strong focus on ensuring all deadline dates are met. • Testing software new releases, fixes and application enhancements. • Testing changes to business process, work flow and documentation. • Performing functional, usability, performance (load and stress), and user acceptance testing. • Reviewing requirements and design documentation in order to design and document test plans and test case specifications for a web-based application. • Evaluating documentation to ensure adherence to QA methodology and standards. • Assisting in decomposing high-level requirements identified in project documentation into testable, detailed requirements. • Evaluating, documenting and reporting test results and defect status. Use of independent judgment in analyzing defect data to interpret and present conclusions to management and team members with specific recommendations. • Maintaining requirements traceability from use case through test script, defect tracking, and resolution. • Promote testing and quality software development practices throughout the software development/configuration life cycle. • Experience with user interface, usability, performance, and object-oriented testing. • Working knowledge of Agile environments. • The scope of the project includes creation and implementation of enhancements to the existing QTP application in support of business requests. • Application maintenance activities such as system monitoring, recovery, problem analysis and resolution, and end user support are in scope. • Prefer experience with testing web-based applications. Skills Required: Must have all required skills to be considered: Client ES State and Local Government is seeking a QA Tester that possess the following required skills: • 5 to 7 years QA/Test experience in IT with a proven track record oversight. • Experience with automated testing tool-sets. • Experience managing off-shore resources is a must. • Expert in all phases of QA/Testing life cycle. • Knowledgeable in formalized QA/Testing strategy, processes, methodologies and standards. • Familiar with Agile frameworks and testing process implications. • Able to clearly articulate complex issues to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Demonstrated strong analysis, problem resolution, judgment and decision making skills. • Experience in managing contracts and vendor performance.
