*Location*: Plano, TX Primavera P6 System Architect Details: This position is responsible for defining the overall architectural design for Ericsson’s use of Primavera P6 and its integration with other Ericsson tools. Ensure alignment with and contribute significantly to corporate architecture initiatives. Provide leadership for the architecture community. The candidate we seek will be highly motivated with a passion for learning new technologies. S/he thinks out-of-the-box and can identify issues and creative solutions, regardless of the technology—a true computer scientist/engineer. We are looking for someone interested in being hands-on, but also has the ability and experience to operate in the capacity of Software Architect. This person must be strong technically, but have a understanding of business and operational processes to ensure the solution closely matches the needs of the corporation. This position requires frequent contact with teammates to assess, recommend, and develop data centric technical solutions to automate, integrate, and enhance operational systems and processes. This person must be a self-starter and possess the ability to work independently, as well as lead working level teams. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Work closely with product management to understand and influence strategic product directions while translating those into appropriate product architectures and new product lines. • Lead onshore and offshore development team(s) to produce quality solutions. • Gather and analyze technical specifications from customers, Product Owners, Support and QA to fully understand the requirements and ensure that a high quality solution is produced that matches the customer requirements in terms such as functionality, usability, efficiency, reliability, availability and scalability. • Construct high-quality, well understood architecture and detailed design documents based on requirements and identify and resolve design issues early in the software development life cycle. • Review , maintain, adjust and be responsible for the integrity of the high level architecture of suites of products, and ensure that they match the current products implementation, as well as aligned to the common infrastructure and existing integrations, contributing to the domain products and business unit architectural blueprints and roadmap. • Ensure that solutions are of the highest quality with a view toward quality and testability. Collaborate with QA to insure that products contain features that provide for efficient and effective testing, supporting customers needs in the best possible way. • Constantly strive to evolve the solution architecture and improve its maturity levels, modularity and flexibility. • Provide high level technical expertise in the diagnosis and resolution of architectural issues, including the determination and provision of workaround solutions. • Provide feedback and input to assist with development, marketing, implementation and quality of the solutions. • Mentor, coach, train, facilitate and provide technological feedback as well as serve as a knowledge hub to less senior development team members and provide technical advice and guidance to other development groups. • Utilize extensive architectural knowledge of IT operations, industry & Primavera solutions to accomplish goals. • Work with various development and product team members within Ericsson to create software products containing required features and modifications and architectural maturity. EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in Computer Science or related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent preferred. Additional management or leadership training is beneficial. WORK EXPEREINCE : Typically 10 or more years in software design and development, Level 2 Support or related field, with at least 5 years in the design and implementation of large-scale, multi-tiered, heterogeneous IT infrastructures for Primavera P6 platform. Hands on experience on a wide variety of platforms and knowledge of many programming languages and techniques. Experience with integration of products to create solutions.
