*Role: CCAR Business Analyst* *Location : Jersey City NJ* *Position Purpose: * A Business Analyst in Trading Risk IT to partner with RBC’s Global Risk Management team and Lead IT BAs to capture *CCAR counterparty credit risk *requirements for both tactical and strategic solutions. Must be able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines. *Key Accountabilities: * · Document business requirements, design and model solutions, and work with development teams throughout system implementation and delivery. · Pro-actively communicate and collaborate with business clients to analyze functional requirements and deliver the appropriate artefacts as needed: business requirement documents, functional specifications, data specifications, use cases, workflow analysis, reports and user-interface layouts and designs, test cases, etc. · Ensure that new solutions address immediate business needs, while ensuring system alignment with global technology strategy and application roadmaps. · Act as the first line of contact to interface with Global Risk Management business users. · Advocate for the business to ensure that IT delivers solutions that meet business needs. · Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to create a clear understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. · Conduct data analysis in support of applications and projects, including identifying and documenting business rules, data needs and data specifications. · Collaborate across application development and technology teams within IT to ensure that business requirements are fully understood. · Participate in design, development, testing and implementation of solutions. · Work with the project manager, development manager, developers, business analysts, and quality assurance teams to ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget. · Help to support, maintain and debug existing applications and systems. · Participate and assist with testing, configuration/release management, and deployment. *Competencies and Skills:* · Must have knowledge of financial analytics. · Understanding of the following Regulatory initiatives – Basel II, Basel III, Dodd Frank and the Federal Reserve’s Enhanced Prudential Standards, credit counterparty risk (CCR) and credit valuation adjustment (CVA) · Must have an understanding of derivative products, including fixed income, equity, foreign exchange, commodities, and related derivatives: futures, forwards, swaps and options. · Must have knowledge of finance, banking and/or risk management systems. · Strong understanding of software design principles and development best practices within the software development life cycle. · Experience using business analysis and requirements modeling tools, such as: data flow diagrams, relationship data models, XML modeling, business process modelling. · Knowledge of unit and integration testing and test case design. · Understanding of derivative product pricing, risk and sensitivities calculations, and financial risk management is an asset. *Characteristics* · Exceptional time management and ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously. · Excellent critical thinking and decision making skills. · Superior troubleshooting, problem solving. · Ability to manage stress in a fast-paced, changing environment. · Keen attention to detail. · Excellent oral and written communication skills. · Independent self-starter, results oriented, and a willingness to take ownership. · Able to interact and collaborate with diverse business users and technology groups across various geographic locations (New York, Toronto, London. India). *Qualifications* · Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
