*Title: Business (Systems) Analyst * *Location: Bristol, CT*
*Duration: 6 Months* You'll join a technical team and collaborate with business partners to learn and understand business needs for data acquisition, consumption and storage. You'll be relied upon to quickly comprehend the nature of the source data that is being ingested , as well as the intended business use of that data. *Responsibilities:* . Focus on moderate to large-scale data related initiatives . Manage business and functional requirements gathering . Work with development team to understand nature of data requirements - stucture incoming source data as well as its "downstream " use(s) . Coordinate product implementation and delivery . Support customer relationships through communication and meeting facilitation . Conduct current state analysis and define business requirements . Elicit and evolve functional requirements . Facilitate UAT/software certification testing *Required Skills:* . At least 5-7+ years demonstrated experience as Business Analyst in an Information Technology department - with demonstrated focus on data-related initiatives . Proficiency with requirements gathering and analysis techniques . In-depth understanding of project delivery methodologies and SDLC . Must have a strong knowledge of Database fundamentals - including hands-on SQL skills and the ability to design and execute basic Queries . Any exposure to Data Analytics or Consumer Analytics would be a PLUS (in NOT required) . Ability to quickly acquire knowledge of the business in context to project goals and requirements . A passion for Sports and sports-related data / statistics would be HIGHLY desired . Verbal & written communications skills are critical .
