*Job Title: Java Server Side Developer* *Location: Columbia – MD* *Duration: 6+ Months* *Job Description:* Our client is specifically looking for a versatile Server Side Developer who will be working on the Web Platform team of whom have multiple ongoing projects including, but not limited to: Enhancing the framework to allow personalized client experience so that a page can be personalized to a client's situation at run-time. Allow external developers to develop content that will appears seamlessly on the client's secure web site. Work with data from twitter to provide sophisticated indicators that allows clients to research stocks. The person should be flexible in their problem solving. *REQUIRED SKILLS:* · 3+ years in Core/JEE programming experience building large scale web applications (Required) · Understands Design Patterns (Required) · Experience in RESTful frameworks such as Jersey (Required) · Design and develop Java related software of high quality following good software development practices · Ability to interpret business requirements into solutions · Knowledge of refactoring, best coding practices and code organization · Solid understanding of the latest development practices such as Continuous Integration, behavior driven development, iterative development etc. · Logical thinker and quick learner with strong problem solving and analytical ability · Strong communication skills and professional work habits · Collaborative personality – able to work with others effectively to achieve a common goal (egomaniacs and hyper-combative candidates need not apply) · Ability to communicate (written and verbal) in English and be understood when talking in person and on the phone · Experience with SQL and relational databases administration (i.e. Oracle, PostgreSQL) · Experience using JEE containers such as Tomcat *Preferred Skills:* · Passion for continuous improvement and openness to learning new technologies · Experience writing tests leveraging test suites like JUnit and Mock implementations (Mockito etc.) · Experience with automated testing tools like JBehave and FitNesse · Experience working with teams using Agile methodologies · Experience creating Web interfaces using DOJO, JavaScript, HTML and CSS · Innovative – Able to find elegant solutions to real problems · Ability to communicate with business sponsors, business analysts and other non-technical team members · Experience in teams using agile methods · Experience with real time, high volume, consumer facing applications · Experience using Eclipse -- Thanks & Regards, *Sampath* Damcosoft Inc.
