*Minimum Qualifications and Key Requirements :*
· 8+ years working with Microsoft SQL Server BI stack
· Understanding and developing large normalized databases,
operational data stores, data marts, and enterprise data warehouses
· Experience developing queries - normalized and dimensional models
· Ability to model OLAP cubes
· Develop reporting/dashboards with PowerPivot, SSRS, Power View,
PerformancePoint
· Microsoft BI integration with sharepoint
· Working of new and existing ETL processes
· Strong DWBI experience
· Strong Sql experience
· Certified MSBI professional
· Experience and knowledge of disciplined project-delivery
processes. Experienced with both waterfall and agile-like processes....
· Demonstrated experience in delivering multiple projects in
different subject areas and environments.
· Demonstrated experience in problem debugging and solving
capabilities.
· Experience in working with matrix-managed resources in an
effective and constructive fashion.
· Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Positive attitude, good problem-solving skills, self-started,
self-motivated
*Principal Duties and Responsibilities :*
o *BI Development Process :*
§ Ability to Architect and design optimized BI solutions in Microsoft
technology stack.
§ Strong knowledge of Data warehousing concepts best practices to be
adopted based on use cases.
§ Strong experience in designing, building, debugging and deployment of
solutions based on SSIS.
§ Strong SQL Server skills with ability to create optimized queries and to
guide the team on adopting best practices.
§ Ability to learn new technologies rapidly and apply development
methodologies to them.
§ Experience in partnering with Quality Assurance operations to
proactively create test plans and identify data integrity issues caused by
upstream data.
o *BI Development* :
§ This position will include technical leadership of other team members
working in various capacities and skill levels with ETL tools and
associated development.
§ Ensure that objects are created with our design and report development
standards.
o *Domain and Business Knowledge Development :*
§ Develop a strong understanding of source-system data and determine which
elements need to be exposed to the downstream data models and subsequently
on the reporting layer.
§ Partner with SMEs across business units to understand their challenges
and sources of information. This will evolve into technical discussions for
potential BI solutions and enhancement of EDW subject areas.
o *Other Responsibilities : *
§ Work with platform administrators help train and setup the appropriate
monitoring, support, and controls.
§ Work with business users to design and develop prototypes for tactical
and enterprise solutions.
§ Work closely with Project Managers and Business Analysts to provide
estimates and help refine technical requirements
§ Resolve data integrity issues by profiling data and understating data
behavior and business rules.
§ Performs administrative duties such as status reports*.*
