*Role: AIX Server(Build) Admin* *Location: Watertown, MA* Role AIX Server (Build) Admin – Datacentre Admin work Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills Responsibilities • Building new server's from scratch including VIO server's and VIO clients • Install software, apply patches, manage file systems, monitor performance and troubleshoot alerts from monitoring tools. • System failure analysis and recovery; insuring the consistency and integrity of file systems. • Business continuity planning and implementation • Hardware/software configuration and management • Liaison with vendors/ customer for new hardware / software install , technology upgrades and troubleshooting • Manage and lead hardware and software migration and upgrade efforts of varying size and complexity. Required Technical Skills • 5-6 years of professional systems maintenance experience in a UNIX data center environment. • Virtual I/O server build and configuration • Experienced to work on AIX 6.1 and AIX 7.1 • NPIV and VSCSI disk mappings • EMC Power path will be add on • Knowledge of EMC disk system from Server side • Knowledge of ASM disk system • VIO’s up gradation or migration • AIX up gradation or migration • Good Knowledge of LVM • Performance tuning • Knowledge of power HA will be add on.
