Must have Cognos Workspace. If you have someone with Cognos report studio and framework manager would be nice, but not a must. Under general direction, primarily responsible for activities related to the design, development, implementation, and support of the business intelligence applications. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* • Participates in the design, development, and support of enterprise-wide business intelligence applications. • Participates in gathering business requirements. • Prototypes and develops the business intelligence application using the most appropriate BI tools to meet the business need. • Unit tests to ensure solutions meets business requirements, information is accurate. • Assists with performance tuning of business intelligence applications (SQL, etc.) • Assists in monitoring and optimizing system performance, reliability, availability, and recoverability of the BI/DW environment. • Assists with testing and implementation of upgrades to the BI/DW environment. • Troubleshoots BI tool problems. • Writes and deploys user documentation according to standards (report help, field definitions, etc.) • Follows standards, policies, and procedures related to the business intelligence tools and systems. • Performs a variety of other duties as assigned. *Qualifications:* • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. *Experience:* • 3-5 years experience in large complex database management systems • Functional Expertise: Applies analytical and creative thinking skills to solve complex/technical problems; draws upon experience to develop and recommend solutions. • Interpersonal: Actively influences team collaboration by contributing ideas and work to the team effort • Leadership/Change: Responsible for identifying and implementing quality and process improvements for continuous development to enhance performance. • Business: Maintains working knowledge of business objectives to maximize contribution toward company results. • Communications: Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication and listening skills; possesses the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization. • Language: Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. • Technology: Proficient in using multiple software programs and web-based applications such as e-mail, Microsoft Office Suite products, internet browsers, etc. *Thanks & Regards,* *Adam Brad* ERP/EAI SERVICES |Consulting – Development – Staffing Tel Direct: 919-386-2044 | Fax 347-296-3797 Email: *[email protected]* <[email protected]> | *www.clearthoughtsolutions.com* <http://www.clearthoughtsolutions.com/> IM: [email protected] <[email protected]> *Partners in your Thought…* *Gateway to Succes* We respect your Online Privacy.
