I would like to touch-base you regarding a job opportunity with our client, appreciate if you could go through below job detail and let me know your thoughts as soon as possible. *Reply only to [email protected] <[email protected]>* *Role: Data warehouse Developer* Location: Melbourne, FL Duration: 6+ months contract *Rate: $47/hr on C2C (H1B copy must for submission)* *Summary:* Senior Data Warehouse, ETL and BI Developer who is responsible for full lifecycle BI solution development, working with internal and external teams to support business needs and innovative value-added BI solutions. *Key Responsibilities - To simplify complexities for each customer:* Ø Provides high level estimates on potential system enhancements and projects as it relates to OLAP and ETL database development and optimization. Ø Review, analysis, and approval of Business Requirement documents, Technical Design documents, and Data Architecture Technical Design documents. Ø Work with Team Lead, Business Analysts, Application Developers, Solution Architects, and Data Architects in analyzing business requirements, specifications and technical design documents to define the optimal solution and identify responsibilities for delivering. Ø Design, develop, test, tune, and implement procedural database code using business intelligence tools and Microsoft SQL Server. This includes but is not limited to SSIS packages, SSAS OLAP Cubes, stored procedures, views, and functions. Ø Provide technical advice, support and guidance regarding BI development, best practices and standards to the development teams. Ø Create and propose technical design documentation which includes current and future BI functionality, database objects affected, specifications, and flows/diagrams to detail the proposed implementation. Ø Follow established department procedures, policies, and processes. Ø Research and facilitate resolution of support or production related BI development issues. *Additional Responsibilities: * Ø Strategic Initiatives: Actively engages in driving strategic initiatives, and the related goals, to ensure the most optimal outcome of business needs. Ø Communication: Effectively communicates using written, oral, non-verbal, and active listening skills. Has the ability to clearly present an idea or concept so others understand. *Qualifications/Education/Certifications:* Ø Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university (in Information Technology or Computer Science preferred), plus five to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. *Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:* Ø 5-7 years of development experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2/2012/2014 development. Ø 5 years of development experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012+ Integration Service (SSIS). Ø 5 years of development experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012+ Analysis Service (SSAS). Ø 5 years of development experience working with large data sets. Ø 2-3 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server Data Tools 2012+ (SSDT) and TFS integration as it applies to multiple developer teams, project build and deployment automation procedures. Ø Extensive knowledge of Data Warehousing methodologies and concepts. Ø Experience with Microsoft Power BI/SharePoint integration and other BI tools is a plus. Ø Extensive knowledge of T-SQL including complex SQL queries (ex: using various joins and sub-queries) and best practices. Ø Experience with RDBMS principles, database design and normalization. Ø Proven experience with advanced query design, stored procedures, views and functions. Ø Extensive knowledge of index design and T-SQL performance tuning techniques. Ø Must be able to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel. Ø Exposure to Database Administration i.e. Replication, Backup\Restore strategies, Clustering, Load Balancing is a plus. Ø Contribute substantially in maintaining and monitoring Enterprise Data Warehouse System (EDW) on production and development servers. Ø Provide mentoring to more junior level ETL developers. Ø Collaborate with the QA team, support creation and execution of system test plans and user-acceptance testing. Ø Ability to comprehend complex technical and logical concepts and adapt quickly to change. Ø Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are required. Ø Ability to stay current with rapidly changing technology and applies it to business needs. Ø Understanding of commercial aviation industry is desired but not required. Ø Attention to detail and maintaining high quality standards is a must. Ø Demonstrates initiative and works independently with minimal supervision. Looking forward to hear from you!
