*Title: Linux System Administrator - Red Hat
Location: Garland, Texas
Contract Duration: 6 months +*

*Minimum Requirements:
Required Skills:
Extensive background in System Administration of Red Hat LINUX operating
systems environments, with emphasis in NIS, automount, and kickstart.
Understanding of Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Network Attached Storage
(NAS).
Experience with hardware and software administration to client workstations,
servers, RAID systems and peripherals.
Knowledge of operating systems shell scripting.
The individual must be able to work as part of a team.
Travel may be required for site installations.
After hour maintenance windows support on evenings or weekends will be
required on an occasional basis as well as some pager (on-call) support as
required. Shell scripting
Active TS/SCI clearance with current single scope background investigation
(SSBI)
Desired Skills:
Red Hat LINUX certified technician (RHCT) preferred UNIX / Solaris
background,,,SRR security experience IBM Blade and NetApp experience would
be a plus.
Ability to work with limited supervision and must be a self-starter with
initiative.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse user community in
quick-response situations. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and
organizational skills.
Description:
Providing all aspects of system administration including installation,
customization, and integration of computing systems.
Systems Administration for Red Hat Linux, IBM Blades, and storage
expertise: i.e. NetApp
Design, configure and deploy Linux platforms.
Responsibilities also include setup and configuration of servers,
workstations, RAID file systems, Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network
Attached Storage (NAS), maintenance, user support for both hardware and
software.
Experience in Commercial-Off-The Shelf (COTS) integration including
analysis, design, configuration, integration, testing and debug of COTS
systems and their various components.
Maintain configuration control diagrams and documentation for installed
systems.
Assist on review boards to facilitate planning for integration of software
and hardware.
Provide in-depth troubleshooting and performance tuning for all aspects on
system administration.
Troubleshoot and isolate problems across the spectrum of IT, including
network, servers, workstations, and applications.
Current TS/SCI/SSBI Security clearance required.
