Associate’s degree in computer science or related field. (Pass/Fail) Desirable Experience Preferred for These Positions 1. Good communication and interpersonal skills (10 Points) 2. Five years demonstrated experience as lead technical designer and administrator of Oracle relational databases. Experience must include all aspects of database instance creation, maintenance and configuration, schema design and development, tablespace/file management, tuning of database and sql, backup and recovery techniques, and software installation. Experience with Oracle releases 8, 9, or 10. (20 Points) 3. 4. Five years demonstrated experience in the design, development, implementation and operational support of data warehouse solutions in an Oracle database environment. Preferred experience will include use of Oracle data warehouse techniques, ETL methods, security methods, and use of metadata-driven processes. (20 Points) 5. Five years demonstrated data processing experience working in public/government sector IT applications dealing with the delivery of government assistance or entitlements in support of Children and/or Family Welfare programs. (20 Points) 6. 5 years demonstrated experience working in Unix server environments, especially HP-UX. This should include a solid working knowledge of operating system principles, the ability to understand and work with system/server administration staff on database and application-related issues, and strong knowledge of shell-scripting techniques to support automation of database tasks. (15 Points) 7. 2 years demonstrated experience working with the following software categories and/or specific products: ETL/Data Transformation (Oracle Warehouse Builder), Job control (Oracle Workflow), Database reporting (Cognos/ReportNet), Data Exchange (IBI-IWAY, MS-BizTalk, XML), geo-coding (Oracle Spatial, MapInfo).
