This will be a hands on position and has the manager said grunt work. WebSphere installation, configuration, and performance tuning. Must be have experience Tuning Java Apps.* * * Middleware Software Installation Under direct supervision, provide ongoing support FRIT’s Middleware Software. Assists in the installation, upgrade, testing, and maintenance of Middleware software and hardware in a multiple server and multiple network operating system environments spanning multiple computer sites. Follows detailed work plans for both installation and continuing maintenance. Conducts tests and monitors new installations. WebSphere Tuning Monitors WebSphere software for optimum performance. Performs server software monitoring and tuning on a regular basis using Introscope. Produces statistics on performance and is responsible for identifying and resolving system performance problems. WebSphere Experience Experience with the installation of WebSphere in at least one of the following environments (Windows, AIX, Solaris, Linux) Performs problem resolution for WebSphere software as needed. Conducts research and testing to determine cause and makes necessary corrections. Recommends changes in WebSphere or application to maintain or enhance performance and is pro-active in the area of problem resolution and prevention. Perform installation and deployment of Middleware Software or security patches across the server environment while adhering to FRIT change control policies. Business understanding of large Banking institutions Perform installation and deployment of Middleware Software or security patches across the server environment while adhering to change control policies. Communication skills and relationship skills to work with customers at different levels (technical, business, and management).
