Hi. Here is the job spec for the 4 Client Base24 eps Software Engineers. The spec comes first and then more explanation of the Base24 eps system. It is basically a system for allowing faster credit card payment and processing. Client has Tandem mainframes so anyone with Tandem experience and Base24 eps would be great. Candidates also need object oriented skills with C++ or Java. The fact is that you should source these people from credit card companies like Visa, American Express, Discover Card, and also large banks that issue cards. The newest version s "Base24 eps". Please read the explanation at the bottom of this email so you understand what the Base24eps is. Major Accountabilities: Recognized subject matter expert responsible for the technical planning, design, and software quality for systems application software. Ensure development efforts conform to overall strategic direction. Assist in examining commercially available and forthcoming industry technologies related to area of expertise to determine whether or not technology will support both present and planned project requirements. Validate the status of technical project deliverables, resolve conflicts as they arise. Ensure existing system stability by monitoring production of systems in assigned area of expertise. Support for initially implemented very complex and/or highly visible production application problems may be required. Provide technical and advisory support to ensure the successful and efficient development of quality software. Evaluate and recommend software development tools. Experience Required: Recognized as a subject matter expert in one or more applications or technology areas. Applies extended expertise of principles, theories and concepts, plus advanced knowledge of business or function, usually acquired through twelve or more years of experience. This is a senior development position working on the Base24eps platform. Successful candidates will have payments processing or bank card industry experience. Familiarity with Object oriented programming, C++, and Java a plus. Base24 experience required, experience in Base24eps preferred. Position requires ability to extrapolate and clarify requirements. identify and evaluate potential solutions. And implement and test the most advantageous design. All development is object oriented following a water fall software development life cycle.
