Job Description:
The Oracle Developer will design, develop, test and/or maintain various
database applications within the organization ,
while providing technical support and troubleshooting that are beyond
capabilities of the help desk or customer service.
They may assist in performing on-site client work. Operates under moderately
close supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Software maintenance and development for applications implemented in
Oracle Forms & Reports 6i and PL/SQL
Upgrade applications from Oracle 9i to 10g
Create or update technical system documentation including design documents
and installation instructions.
Perform unit and system testing
Provide technical support and troubleshooting that are beyond capabilities
of help desk or customer service
Analyze and rectify QA and production problems
Ensure proper functioning of applications in a production environment
Defines and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes,
and interfaces with other systems.
Other tasks and projects as assigned by management
Required Skills:
At least 5 years experience maintaining and developing applications using
Oracle Developer, Oracle Forms & Reports, and PL/SQL
Experience Oracle 10g experience is preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with VSS versioning system.
Strong experience in SQL tuning.
Industry recognized certifications is a must ( OCA, OCP)
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Desired Skills:
5 years experience maintaining and developing applications using Oracle
Developer, Oracle Forms & Reports, and PL/SQL
Non-Tech Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills*
