Experience with State Government systems is highly desirable and preferable. *Required Skills* Programming with COBOL,�X VSAM, MVS JCL, and CICS. Demonstrated hands-on�X ability to perform development tasks in the above areas is required. Prior demonstrated ability�X to achieve and accomplish set goals is important. Excellent verbal and�X written communication skills. Ability to work in a team�X environment. Will work closely with the�X application development team. Experience with Microsoft�X Office products. Additional knowledge and�X experience (but not required) would include: prior experience with DHS applications, Elixir, VB.net, Visual Studio 2005, Web Services. Preferred Skills/Experience Prior experience working at�X Iowa DHS is highly desirable, including experience working with any/all of the following systems/technologies in the DHS environment: IABC, ICAR, ISSV, MEPD, MMIS, FACS, STAR, POSS, PJCase, OPR, DHS Data Warehouse, ISIS, Global 360, Corticon, Elixir OPUS. SR. Developer – able to transform business requirements into technical specifications and design. Builds application programs based on technical specifications. Will be responsible for performing mainframe development tasks relating to the support, maintenance, and implementation of new and existing mainframe applications. Development in mainframe and client/server environment. Required skills are COBOL, CICS, MVS JCL. Additional experience (but not required): Elixir, VB.net, Visual Studio 2005, Web Services. Minimum 5 years of experience. Good verbal & written communication. Ability to logically analyze complex processes & programs. Ability to understand business processes & to be customer focused. Ability to work well in a team environment.
