We already have a development lifecycle methodology in place that will be followed. They must be able to demonstrate a fundamental knowledge of data warehousing design principles using dimensional modeling. In addition, I am looking for someone strong in the Cognos BI suite of products preferably in version 8.4. Candidates with experience using Cognos BI 8.4 to design, develop, and implement unique business intelligence solutions that solve specific business needs is highly desirable. Candidate must possess strong Cognos BI architect and development experience (Framework Manager, Report Studio, Exent Studio, and Analysis Studio) preferably in version 8.4. 10 + years of architect experience. Lead complex IT architectural projects requiring demonstrated technical/business knowledge of multiple disciplines and LOB’s. Lead and support process ensuring architectural "health" and maintenance of discipline(s) and transformation based business needs, corporate technology and budget objectives. Create strategies and direction of multiple diverse applications on multi-platform systems. Develop and lead architecture plans, application strategy supporting short and long term business plans, application implications and software development requirements. Complete cost and feasibility analysis of system requests. Define and validate technical and business requirements, application integration and database/application services. Develop infrastructure interfaces and components between enterprise application resources for specific applications environments. Design "proof of concepts" to determine appropriate architecture options and limit risks. Identify alternative approaches to reduce cost and improve functionality.
